Okay, this is proof of how much I do not want to do my homework when I post on my blog! Dang Language Samples!
Well, the next up on my adventures is my wonderful trip to see my old roommate Sheila on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii!
It was wonderful!
Never fly Allegiant Airlines! Just FYI. I missed my connecting flight from Honolulu to Maui, BUT I got to go to Pearl Harbor! It was very peaceful! Unfortunately I got there a little late so I wasn’t able to see too much, but It was neat nonetheless!
Chesta!!!!!!!!!! This wonderful person was one of my residents at SUU when I was an RA. He is from Honolulu so he came and picked me up and showed me the town before my flight left!
I finally made it to Maui!!!!!!! This was my second night in Hawaii, but first night to see the amazing sunset!
The next day we went to the Iao Valley State Park. It was very beautiful!
Lots of selfies!
And then we hit the beach on the other side of the island in Lahaina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh! So nice.
We ate at the Cool Cat Café and this little beauty was De-Lish-Us!
Then of course, we went whale watching!
It happened to be be whale watching season, so we saw soo many!
It was amazing!
I was only a little motion sick in this picture! :)
The next day we took the long scenic drive around the island to Hana!
It was breathtaking at points and so diverse!
We stopped for famous banana bread (which was A-Maz-Ing) and I got a snowcone!
We saw so many beautiful waterfalls!
We stopped at the Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach.
Talk about amazing!
Just off of the beach was this little cave. It was very cool and a little hidden, so if you ever go, look for it.
Okay, so I had never been snorkeling and I fell in love! The hardest part, I came to find out, was the getting in.
Alycen vs Ocean= Ocean 7 - Alycen 3
BUT my last snorkeling adventure I found these awesome Aviators. Alycen +1
The final night I was there we went back to Lahaina to a show. One of the girls in Sheila’s ward was able to get us tickets for free!
Before the show we ate some Thai food! And this, coconut ice cream and fried bananas were amazing!
The show we went to watch was called ‘Ulalena.
It was a history of Hawaii and was beautiful.
And the dancers were also very beautiful!
All in all, my trip to Hawaii was amazing! I am so grateful for Sheila! She was awesome and has been such a good friend these past few years.
