Alright, so its been a while. After my adventures in July, I was finally able to start my job come the middle of August. I like it so far. Its a little less important than I had hoped, in other words, I'm a cashier. Not the worst thing in the world, but it has solidified that I will DEFINITELY be applying to grad school for next year! Wish me luck! Anywho, so here are the pictures from said adventures.
Tillamook is huge here! And the Baby Loaf was outside of Albertson's and I couldn't resist! We waited for the man with the keys to come back so we could at least take pictures inside it, but he never showed, so this is all I got!
Spokane has their own minor league baseball team, the Indians, that we went to watch. Not the best team, but it was fun.
This is their creepy mascot. I don't even know what he is. His name is Otto.
And only because I live in Washington, this is Recycle Man. Yup, you heard me right. I asked him to pretend to kiss my cheek for the picture and can you believe it, he turned ME down!!!! I was extremely offended! I mean seriously, he's Recycle Man!!!! I'm still upset I guess!!!! :)
Lauriann and I in front of the field!
So I donated blood!!!!! It'd been a while so I was nervous! Kate came to be my support. I must've made it look pretty exciting because the cute girl drawing my blood finally had to tell the 6 or 7 people that had gathered to step back. Just so ya'll know, when I get nervous, I giggle and then everything is really funny to me. Its worked pretty well to get me out of some tickets because the officer is so smitten! ;) Anyways, so there was one point where somehow the chair went from reclining to sitting and of course I shouted "YEEE HAWWW". The phlebotomist said that had never happened.
She even let me take a picture with her. I can't remember her name now. We'll call her Rosy. She humored me in my rowdiness.
So this is Curtis and the balloon guy. Ward temple night a few weeks ago was wrapped up at Dairy Queen getting ice cream. So the Balloon guy came in the same time as we did. After a while he struck up conversation with us by telling Curtis that there was only 2 reasons why we would still be in a shirt and tie at 10 at night. The first was he was a workaholic business man or the second (and we totally didn't see it coming) was he was a Mormon. We laughed so hard and made a few jokes about the amount of women to men ration too, which also called him out on his religion.
Then the Balloon guy (by the way I asked him his name and he said, "Balloon Guy" so its legit) made us so balloon creatures. I have no idea what this was, bears dancing, kissing, on a spiral flower thing. It was nice of him though!
Holly and Lori are my new and official roommates! I am so excited about these 2 girls! Both 2nd year law students at Gonzaga University. They are pretty awesome and I feel very blessed to be lucky enough to live with them!
We took a little trip to Lake Coeur D'Alene. It was beautiful and only about a half hour from our house!!! So pretty!
Being domestic and freezing fresh corn.
And just in celebration for FINALLY moving to an apartment, here are pictures from the unfinished basement I lived in for 2 months! It was pretty makeshift and there are plenty of spiders that have been sent back to live with their ancestors, but I am so grateful for Lauriann, Jihye and Emily for letting me stay there!
What an adventure, right?!!
