So May and June were very busy months for me. GOOD and busy!
My friend Nicole and I decided that we would hike the Crimson Trail in Logan Canyon. Well, I had never been there and Nicole had done it once, so we ended up walking right by the trailhead and up and up a steep mountain. We didn't know what trail it was, so we dubbed it the trail of 10,000 Rocks. (See picture above to note ALL of the rocks on that trail). So in other words we got lost, but we had fun while we were doing it. The trail just kept going further and further into the mountain range, so it was very pretty.
It climbed very quickly, so we saw some pretty cool things. There in the very back is the main road through the canyon.
This little meadow was beautiful and sooo green.
We had to cross this little make shift bridge. Just part of the adventure.
Now, I was able to watch "The Hanging of Juanito Bandito" at the Pickleville Playhouse at Bear Lake with Nicole and her roommates. The Pickleville Playhouse is this tiny little venue where the plays are written, directed and starred in by locals. Don't let that throw you though, Juanito Bandito is pure, politically incorrect genius! I saw "Who Shot Juanito Bandito" in February and I promise you I have never laughed so hard in my life. It was fabulous!
So I bought a Juanito Bandito shirt and was able to take a picture with Juanito HIMSELF!! I was so excited! So take note, Top picture, I was slightly unsure as to what to do with my hands, but then people started telling me to show off my shirt. GREAT idea, right? So I flung my hands to the side "Ta Da" only to almost hit my favorite bandito, Juanito in a... very... sensitive place. Luckily I caused him no injury! Serious Al, WOW! : )
Okay, so Nicole is my go to gal for fun and excitement as you can see. She is super fun! So we went to the Mountain Man Rendezvous and wandered around a bit. This cute mountain man was almost completely deaf from shooting so many guns during his long ride through life! He was so sweet though!
My friend Emma had a baby! This is the baby shower, and the baby had come about 4 days earlier. We planned that poorly, but the party turned out really well. It was fun to see everyone!
The sisters. We gathered at Payson pool on afternoon and swam it up! It was fun. Although I think we might have upset the Polynesian Mafia. We tried to share their table and we think that made them very unhappy. Oops!
Did I blog this already? Well, I have found a new fun thing to do for parties. Watermelon carving! Yes, I did carve both of these and yes it did take me a little while! :) It was fun though!
Sheila and Nancy and I went to Tony Grove, but you had to pay for parking, so the lady said we could drive around, but we couldn't get out of our car. So here Sheila and Nicole are "not" out of the car!
So we drove to the campground and there was a sign that said 30 minute parking. So we hightailed it down to the lake and stuck our little toes in the water. It really was very beautiful!
So my stake has what is called "The 25 or Better" program. Which means if you are 25 or older, they plan all sorts of activities for you. So this activity was at Bear Lake. It was a lot of fun. We went up the night before and stayed at a friends cabin then went boating the next day. The picture above is an Nicole sandwich since Nicole Sanders is on one side and Nicole Turner on the other! I love these girls!
I wake boarded! It was fun, until I crashed and then it was less fun. But nonetheless, don't I look pretty cool? : )
Nicole (Nancy as I call her) and I on the way back to the beach.
Saying goodbye to Bear lake. Nicole, Nicole and Abby.
Nicole and Sheila and I went to watch BRAVE in 3D. It was a cute show and the 3D was fun!
Oh my gosh we are sooo cool! : )
Then there was another church activity that Alycen convinces some innocent bystander to do something crazy and jump in the Logan River fully clothed!
It wasn't as cold or as deep as we thought it would be. Lauren Davidson is adorable though! New partner in crime.
So that is a little catching up! Stay tuned for the big adventure!
